Over 100 participants from the Earth system modeling and numerical weather prediction land data assimilation communities met virtually to discuss technical challenges faced in developing land data assimilations systems, possible solutions and a roadmap for addressing those challenges, and ideas for building a land DA community to facilitate future collaborations and knowledge exchange.
