In this paper we describe how climate processes affect agroecosystems in principle, summarize recent studies projecting how climate change will affect agriculture in the future, discuss the potential roles of mitigation and adaptation in responding to climate change, and suggest research pathways to achieve netter understanding of how agriculture might be affected by global warming.
