Using an accurate ab initio potential and converged close-coupling calculations to describe collision dynamics, we have calculated line-mixing effects for isotropic Raman spectra of D2 in He. Predicted asymmetries in the profiles of isolated lines caused by this line-mixing agree in sign and approximate magnitude with those recently observed in spectra of pure D2 which were attributed to this effect, lending support to this interpretation.
