Experimental linewidths for CO microwave transitions at temperatures from 77 - 300 K are compared with theoretical predictions using two interaction potentials, an electron gas model [Green and Thaddeus, Astrophys. J. 205, 776 (1976)] and an SCF-CI potential [Thomas, et al., Chem. Phys. 51, 131 (1980)]. Both potentials are in accord with room temperature data, but the latter potential appears to be in significantly better agreement with low temperature data.
