Chou et al. 1978

Chou, C.K., L. Fassio-Canuto, and V. Vanuto, 1978: Photoneutrino reactions in a superstrong magnetoactive plasma. Astrophys. J., 227, 974-986, doi:10.1086/156806.

The neutrino luminosity due to the photoneutrino process in the presence of a superstrong magnetoactive electron plasma appropriate for neutron stars is computed. The results indicate that for relatively low temperatures, between 108 ≲ T < 5×108 K the energy loss rate is significantly reduced both in the low-density regime ρ ≲ 107 g/cm3 (by the magnetic field) and in the high-density regime ρ ≳ 107 g/cm3 (by plasmon excitations). These effects are temperature dependent, and they are less pronounced when the temperature is in the range from 5×108 ≤ T ≤ 109 K.
