Oscillator strengths for the X1Σ+—A1Π system of CH+ have been computed to an estimated accuracy of 10 percent from ab initio wave functions. The fv'v" values for the two strongest interstellar lines, λlambda$4232 and 3957, are founbd to be, respectively, f00 = 6.45×10-3 and f10 = 4.31×10-3.
